Contributing to the Project

There are many different ways that you can contribute to the phplogsys project.

Documentation

Adding documentation to the project can be a great help to the developers. This makes it easier for new users to work with the software, as well as freing up developers to complete feature requests and/or bug fixes.

Feature Requests

If you feel there is a feature or useful function missing from the project, submit a feature request to the forums and/or mailing lists. Check the latest ROADMAP file to see if your feature has already been added to the list of suggested enhancements.

Testing / Bug Reports

If you find a bug in the software, configuration setup, or even in the documentation, submit a bug report to the forums and/or mailing lists. Include the steps that you used to re-create the bug, and where you found it. Also include some way for the developers to contact you in case more information is needed.

Submit Patches

Patches should be submitted through the mailing list to preserve any html. It is recommended to use the cvs diff functions as this will provide the file versions that are being patched against.

Become a Developer

If you would like to become an active developer for the project, send an email to the mailing list, an admin will contact you.

Donate

If you like the project, and just want to show your appreciation, a simple donation can go a long way. There is no limit to how small or large your donation can be.
